Sporting de Gijon vs Real Madrid

14/11/10

Real Madrid 1-0 Sporting Gijon

Barcelona F.C.'s players are very calm. Real Madrid's players are not. Normally, I'd rather watch Madrid play, because their entertaining, edgy and angry, but today they over did it. You know join-the-dots? Madrid  couldn't join-the-dots. It was as if 1 was kicking to 3, and 5 was heading it to 2, and the ball was swirling everywhere. Very sketchy soccer indeed. I think it was the fushia coloured net that was blurring their vision when they got close to the goals. Who has a pink net?! What about red or orange or neon green? But pink?!

Sergio Ramos was the most persuasive player of the night, he was almost always on the screen. As always, my favourite Spanish Player. He can be a bit wild. He marched of the field because of an injury or something was wrong with his shorts. The other players should learn from him. If somebody troubles you, instead of crying, you should kick the opponent and walk away. Seriously, why should they fall all the time? Get on with it.

Sergio passed that ball over to Benzema, who headed it over into the goals and Higuain kicked it in. I'm glad Kareem got a chance, finally, to prove himself. I thought that taking Di Maria off was going to get them into more trouble, but Benzema proved to be what they needed.

Maybe Ramos wishes he was playing for Barcelona. Maybe Casillas & Alonso are also wishing they were playing for Barcelona. I bet they want to all be playing for Spain again. Espania FC versus the world.

Casillas looks cool even the fans are badly behaved.  He said: "We stepped up to the challenge and earned three vital points. In all fairness the atmosphere was hostile."

No. 7 was barely visible. Not up to his usual standards. There were like thousands of defenders around him. He just has to move an eyebrow, and their all stalking him. The other teams defense was pretty good actually, and Madrid were lucky not to have been beaten.

According to reports in the Daily Mail, when asked if he would ever return to the Premier League, Ronaldo surprisingly replied: "To be honest I miss the Premier League a lot. Of course I have good memories about Manchester. I have good friends there and I miss them a lot, so you never know" Pressure getting a bit much at Madrid? Its kind of irritating, I must admit. Its like the second time his spoken about Man U. not that I have anything against 'em. He should finish this season properly, and even if he wants to go and play for Aston Villa he should. Why not Liverpool? Savior that he is. [Okay. don't go Cristiano. Please don't]

I guess the team was missing their coach. He was far away, locked in the Coaches Detention Zone. Without him to orchestra their attack, defense, mid-field and lives. They were rather lost. Fortunately, the coach will be back to the sidelines or guidelines shall we say, for the match against Barcelona.
Here is the lonely goal:

In other news:
The German 'Bambi Awards' hailed Turkish-born Real Madrid footballer Ozil as a prime example of successful integration into German society and won the prize in the "Integration" category. "This is a great honor for me and I'm very happy," he said. "Integration creates something new and makes for a more colorful Germany."

On the other hand: Following Germany's win over Turkey, which must have been a rather touchy game for Mezut, seeing as he comes from both countries, Chancellor Angela Merkel took full PR advantage of the player's success, including an impromptu encounter with him in the team's dressing room. Meanwhile, the far-right NPD has labelled him a "plastic German" - an artificial, manufactured fake.

How dare they?! smh.

Man Utd. drew 2 all against Aston Villa.
I bet they would be delighted if Ronaldo went back.
Chelsea lost to, wait for it, Sunderland. Arsenal won.

Who d'you think was the player of the match?
