Champions League. Twisting Times

2-3 November

Surprisingly, some of the losers now triumphed over their last time successful competitors. The soccer seemed to have gotten more exciting, demanding, and nail-biting, but also worrying and serious. The teams that had won easily the last time, now seemed to have trouble playing properly. Perhaps they had thought that they would've just walked onto the field, kicked the ball around, and scored so many goals against their hopeless opponents. Not so much.

HPartizan0-1Braga
HShakhtar Donetsk2-1Arsenal

Just look at that!

The times have twisted. Who would've though Arsenal would lose, after their last performance?
That Marseille would score seven goals, even though they only managed one last time?
Barcelona drew to a team that couldn't play properly?
Bayern Munich managed to play some soccer, and win, with a hatrick by Gomez. [No own goals]
And Tottenham, true to their word, beat a slow Inter-Milan.
Of course Man Utd. won, they can always be relied on [They should have it on their t-shirts 'Support us, We're reliable' like a bank. Alright, not a bank, because their terrible now days. Maybe like a Mercedes.] And, as usual, Chelsea didn't seem to have much of a problem either. [There are only Africans in the Chelsea team, maybe that's why their doing well. Liverpool is full of pasty people that speak Gaelic.]

Real Madrid 2-2 AC Milan

Oh c'mon. This is not the way to play. The team performance spiking and falling, its so irritating. I thought they were going to win so very easily. Instead, they decided to surprise everybody and lose. Yes, lose. Alright, they drew, but at the last minute! If they play Marseille, they won't have time to score 6 goals in 3 minutes.

Casillas was embarrassing. He is supposed to save goals, not cause them!

The star was Flippo Inzaghi. He came on and scored two goals so quickly, changing that whole match. Remember him? He use to play for Italy. They say he is a born offside. This is his seventieth goal for the Champion's League, and imagine if they'd counted all the offside ones. It draws him into a tie with Spain's Raul, as the two all time top Champion League scorers.

"I know the respect Mourinho has for me," the former Italy forward said. "Last year when he was at Inter he surprised me by waiting outside the dressing room to ask for my shirt. Coming from him that was a great honour, and the fact he hugged me after tonight's game made me very happy."

Now that's the way to win over the opposition. ;)
