Champions League-Clashes!

19/10/10 & 20/10/10

There were many teams that got to show their prowess in these two days of Champion's League matches. For two nights, an almost total of 12 matches was played. Some soccer boarded on the verge of brilliance, and other matches were rather hilarious. Flipping through the channels was annoying, every time we changed, there was another goal! This, of course, happened with the teams that were seriously intending to smack the ball at the back of the net as many times as they could, others, after their first goal, were rather quiet. So, let us see what happened during the past two nights.

Bayern Munich vs CFR Cluj

B.M. 3-2 CFR

This match was rather comical. Bayern didn't do much. CFR, who are Romanian, helped them to the top of their group. It was embarrassing and incredibly lucky. CFR got a goal first, and then a second, and a third. Only, they scored the second two in their own goals posts. Even the third goal, one Bayern had supposedly scored themselves, looked like own goal. So, in all, we can say that CFR scored five goals, and Bayern none, but they won. Ironic, it is.

Arsenal vs Shaktar Donetsk

A-5: Song 18 Nasri 41 Fabregas 59 Wilshere 65 Chamakh 69 & 1 SD

Arsenal are playing wonderfully. They are actually entertaining. Seeing as they scored five goals almost effortlessly, it gives the other teams something to be wary of. Their getting lots of goals, which is important, their not holding themselves back once they feel they've done enough. The goals were superb. Especially Fabregas's penalty. Woah, yeah, suave.

Cesc Fabregas actually looks happier than those mournful Barcelona boys. It is always surprising to see just how very Muslim he looks. I know you think its because of the beard, but Muslim Spain, the 'Moors' must have had a great impact on the native Spanish. Seems like they carry the Arab genes till today. I think Xavi especially, that uni-brow gives it away, cause Muslims, um, have a lot of eyebrow.

That name, Shaktar Donetsk, is just stuck in my head.

Real Madrid vs AC Milan

Madrid 2 [Cristiano & Ozil]-0 Milan

The match was brilliant, the soccer beautiful and exciting. The Bernabau alive. I wanted to flick through the other channels to see the other teams, but I couldn't, the team were on an adrenaline rush. Ronaldo is back. Perfect passes, that land almost teasingly right on the feet of his teammates, swerves, curves, only I wish, many more goals. The high-light was Cristiano's free-kick. It was cheeky, it was so cool. I expected him to kick it into outer space, as he usually does, but it went through the wall.Who would've thought? The discombobulated state of the opposition helped a lot. AC Milan, I'm sorry to say, are sad.

Mezut Ozil and Ronaldo are making a very good team. Ronaldo's free-kick took place just outside the square. This was because Ozil was pushed, and he fell down. He falls a lot. The first goal came in the 13th minute. The second one, came almost 59 seconds latter. Milan were not concentrating. R passed to Ozil, and he kicked it, swerve, and it bounced of the head of one AC defender, and there, Goal!!!! A pretty big deflection actually.

Madrid's second best decision this season, was to bring Ozil & Sami in. The first one of course, was to hire Jose Mourinho. The fans were actually singing his name. I know it does have a rather nice tune to it, but its not often that coaches name are sung, instead of strikers. I've not heard, 'Sirrrr Alexxx Fergesssson' or even better, 'Benitezzzz' or 'Arsene Wengerrrr'. Pep, Barcelona's coach, you could do a bit of rap with it. Pep, Pep, yep, yep, yep, in the house, yoh.

Anyway. Hala Madrid.
